Making a Difference in Our Children's Education

The Mission of the

Shirley Educational Foundation

The Shirley Educational Foundation, Inc. (SEF) is an independent, volunteer 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to enhancing the educational excellence in the public schools of Shirley through the sponsorship of academic challenges, and the awarding of grants for creative programs, instructional resources, and innovative materials.

When you volunteer with SEF you can really make a difference.  We are still a small organization, and are trying not  to overwhelm the community by having too many fundraisers per year.  This year we put our energy and enthusiasm into one large fundraiser.  Our goal is to make our Trail Run, the SEF event of the year.

Because SEF is a non-profit you can also take advantage of the  tax write-offs with your charitable contribution.  Also, you can rest assured that all donations go directly to SEF which funds in turn are available to our teachers through their grant applications.
